GSCF (Groupe de Secours Catastrophe Français/ French Disaster Relief Team), is a french firefighter NGO. This very experienced team is specialized in Search And Rescue operations in a time of disaster (earthquake, tsunamis, hurricanes and so forth), Water treatment on a small scale and First Aide Training. Last emergency missions were Haiti (hurricane 2016) and Nepal (earthquake 2015).

GSCF is organizing a mission in India in may 2017. There is a double purpose to this action:

1)To bring drinkable water to the community of Trinchen Chodey, Chamunda Village, near Mcleodganj (HP)

There are about 80 people living in Trinchen Chodey, 20 families and also 15 lonely children coming from Tibet and Nepal. There are 2 classrooms for these children send in India by their families in order to receive a better education. There is no drinkable water in the main building, so people have to go to the next village to fill buckets of drinkable water, even in winter time when it is snowing. We’ll provide a high-tech filtration unit in order to purify the main water tank on the roof of the building

2)Rescue training to Delek Hospital

The ambulance of this local hospital has no rescue equipment and the team is not trained. We’ll provide all the necessary rescue gears as well as professional training, in order to support the professional evolution of the hospital on rescue and first aid operations on the field.

This mission is organized with the  support of Tibetan Settlement Office, Indian Army and Jetairways.  Still we need financial support: 3000 euros are needed to cover the costs. Not so much, with your help!
